Something To Think About

Guys, sometimes.. sometimes I wish that all cars had the same safety features. I was in two-minds about posting this, but here it is anyway. It's not gory, there's no pictures - it's safe for work .. but it's a real thinker. A head on crash on a road I use daily... I drive past these flowers, the crosses and the dozens of friends that are sat on the field by where it happened daily.

50 mph road. A head-on crash. Both cars were doing 50 or more at the time. The Lexus IS200 goes slap bang into a Fiesta being driven by a lad who's not passed his test and has just clipped a Skoda ... The Lexus driver survived, although he is "stable" in hospital. The two lads, driving around while their parents were away on holiday, both died.

Very sad especialy when you think it is all down to money ,if the lads in the fiesta had more they could well have bought a car with more saftey features and survived .Seems wierd that the younger people who have just passed thier tests and have less experiance and are more likely to crash drive the cars that are older and have hardly any safty features at all .Gonna start saving to buy my daughters a big volvo with wips sips and and every thing else that ends in ips when they start to drive

most youngsters are limited to what they buy from the cost of insurance

ie :

micra 998cc insurance group 1 value £1500

17 yr old insurance premium £1800 :crybaby:

hate to think what a volvo would cost :whistling:
