Recommended Posts

Hello, nation of IS! I have a problem, it is small, but makes me nervous very fast. U see, when i drive not a smooth road or in turns, i get that freking crackling sound from my front console (dash tray, radio). So, first, could You tell me how to remove the dash tray, because i am afraid to break it, and Workshop's "How to remove the radio" did't show the details at all. And what shoud i place betveen the console parts to avoid that noise? Thank You for help

Workshop's "How to remove the radio" did't show the details at all.

it says to look in the workshop section on how to remove the tray ;)

as for the sound i would press various areas of the dash to find the sound first.

After opening the cluster tape some foam on the areas I marked on this picture. This will help.

I sometimes get a "crackling" sound that comes from the gaitor around the gearstick.

Took ages to work out where it came from.

Stops when you press near the chrome surround.
