"alarm"ing?

Driving home last night. Radio beeps and displays "ALARM" for a few seconds, then beeps and displays the radio channel again. WTF? :duh:

Exactly the same thing happened to me the other week weird.....

LOL - maybe it was because I was listening to Radio 2 at the time

Never had that but sometimes mine doesn't switch back from traffic report to CD it goes instead to another radio station.

I was under the impression it did that to let you know that the alarm had been triggered prior to you starting that journey.

It happened when I deliberatley triggered the alarm. Just putting 2 and 2 together. I could be wrong!

Is that right? If the alarm has been triggered the radio will tell you? I think I'll have to read the manual (I thought the little red LED in the dashboard would just flash if it had been set off).

The radio said "ALARM" about 10 minutes into a drive though - so apart from making me fret about it at the time, it didn't really serve any purpose.

It allows radio stations to display messages on the radio
