Backup (copied) Cd's

Does anyone else have problems with CDR/CDRW cd's in the multichanger.

Not sure if its the player, CD's or nero which is the issue

I've had no problems.

Do they work in other CD players?

Make sure you finalise the CD in Nero.

Burn them on slow speed. About 4x should fix that.

I was told by a guy who repair's stereo/cd units that the problem with cd-r's etc are they are slightly thinner than normal cd's and that is what causes most of the problems.

Mind you that may be just an excuse!

4 out of 6 of my current music are CD-R - and everyone works fine.

I use Philips CD-R80 52x, available from Argos or Currys

Just use a slower burn speed Mat, that should work. I do all of mine at 8x or 12x, seems to work fine for me.

i have found that RW's are the worst to try and play.. R's do work,, and as suggested burn at a slower speed. and/or try a differnent brand,, as some surface finishes (ie dye colour) refract the laser incorrectly and so the player cant read it..

mine are pretty cheap £16 for 100 i burn at 52X and have never had any probs with these playing - unless they are scratched which these tend to do a bit easier than normal, but i can live with that

Tried one at 52x, and another at 16x in the morning. gonna do one now at 4x...

Could depend on the used burner. I have to write them with 4x. In my notebook. Never had any problems again :)

Twas the CD's. Got them from Novatech (yellow Ritek ones with leopard skin effect)

Tried a different make and all ok.

Now I've got some N.E.R.D boomin out.. Booyakasha! :zee:
