Damage?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I havn't posted on here in ages.

I know you people are very knowledageable regarding cars and their mechanics.

I own a toyota corolla t3 2003 model.

Today i was giving her a wee push, holding the gears while accelerating especially second. While accelerating the most revs I drove to was about 5000 (my redline is about 6200)

I dont do that often but have i done any damage to the car?

I never do this but sometimes my mate does, accelerating quickly from a cold engine. What would be the most damage that could happenn from doing that?

thanks

Andrew

I'm no expert, but I know it would have been better if the engine was warmer.

On the other hand, if you don't do it that often, you may have even done the engine some good!
