When I get rid of my car it will be 6-7yrs old. And I was thinking is it going to make a difference if it has FLSH.

There's specialist garages for BMW, Alfa around my way etc.

Plus there is also a garage which every local knows does a very good job. So I was thinking that if I'm going to sell her private when the times right (which also means local) is a FLSH worth it..............

....... Whats do you think? :geek:

my car will go to lexus for just the oil change ( but i do my own aswell ) but if anything wants doing to the car (pads, suspension, timing belt etc ) it will go to my mate to do, so when the car dose go into lexus for a service everythings will have been done, but it will get the stamp.

TBH, once a car is older than 5 years, then the main dealer servicing is not as important... of course, if you want top whack when you come to sell it, it might be worthwhile, but that said, the extra you would get would probably be eaten up by the additional cost.

based on buying a new car and keeping it for three years ,with an average mileage of 10000 a year , to keep a full lexus history would cost approx £500

if i was buying a three year old car i would want a full lexus history or i would want at least £1000 of the price

so in that instance it would surely be worth it

i would think that once the car is over 5 years old it would be better just to have servicing done by an independant , who will stamp the book accordingly, so that it at least has a service history

allways nice to see service history AND receipts to back them up

:)
