Bloomin' car won't start :o Tried the usual jump start but it ain't having it!?! Last used yesterday after jet DIY wash!? Not sure if I left the interior light on over night :unsure: ... my son got in the car with me today, left him in the front passenger seat, the interior light was on when I noticed it but not sure if he switched it on or not!?! It's got a funny "ticking over" sound (not the usual ticking over)!?!

Called the RAC, will see what they say, hopefully will they'll fix it ;)

Whay can it be :huh::question:

sounds like battery.is the starter just clicking...............

YOU SHOULD NEVER JUMP START THESE CARS, it can fry the cars electrics

seems it...it's a funny "click"..not the usual click "sound" ;)

So how the RAC Man/Woman will start it then, if it's the Battery :huh::question:

I thought it was o.k as long as you didn't connect the earth on the Battery but take it from somewhere else,such as down by the water pump.?

Thats exactly what the RAC did to mine when i did the same thing Mr-Lex.

All sorted now (jump start - booster), possible reasons' interior light left on and/or alternator not charging properly...something with ECU not giving the right level...blah blah...

got a report to hand in to dealer and recommends the delear to check alternator output...

Happy now :P :)

no need to go to the dealers mate, take it to a car spares shop or halfords and get them to check the battery and whether the alternator is charging it B)

Took it to the dealers today, prefer them to fiddle with it. Got extended warranty if anything need replacing!!! Awaitng call...of the outcome.... :unsure:
