Original Tyres - Lifespan?

Guys,

My 2003 IS200 came fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE040s and I have done 12K on them. At a guess rears seem to have approx 45% left on them ............. what total mileage can I expect (I appreciate this is a "how long is a piece of string" type question) to get out of them??

Problem is I bust a tyre on Sunday and the replacement 215/45ZR17 Bridgestone is MAD money. Is it worth getting the exact tyre of are there cheaper and better alternatives?

Any advice appreciated

I got 25k out of the fronts and nearly 30k out of the back tyres on my old IS. Running Yoko's on 16" wheels.

well had my IS200 for 2 yrs and 6days and covered 19347miles

changed the 2tyres on front at 18500 miles or somethin like that and now need 2 new ones on back, cist me £270includinjg fitting from kwik fit mobile
