hi all, my lack of tooooons is really doing my head in now, theres only so long u can listen to the sound of the straight six...

forgot to mention on my last post (a few questions below)... before my stereo finally packed up, the sound used to go up or down as and when I shut the doors or boot, just wondering whether the stereo is wired up to any sensors in the doors??? etc.... I know this sounds a stupid thing to say, but thats what used to happen.

now that is weird. only thing i can imagine it to be is a short in the door speaker cables which cause the sound to go out.

It could be a dud HU though, or loss of voltage which means less output, but then your car would have problems starting lol.

check speakers are not shorting by measuing impedance, then check to see if the amp is getting 12v+
