Front Armrests

I have read quite a few threads regarding front arm rests.

I would realy like to get one ( Oakham trim).

The IS 300 has an arm rest as standard and i am wondering if anybody has bought an armrest from their local Lexus dealer and fitted it on an IS.

If so, for what cost?

I brought mine from Hong Kong, off JDMPartsGUru (AKA ALEX)

cost me roughly £230 + shipping and kit came complete with everything to fit, took me about 45 min to fit it, looks original and factory fitted.

when i took my car in for service at lexus stockport give me is200 auto se 53 plate and that had a arm rest in it

Thew news IS200's have the arm rest installed in as standard ... well I know the SE one does.

When I asked my Lexus dealer how much it would cose them to install one in my car .... he said "we haven't actulally installed one to date, as it would cost about £650"

He reckons that he would have to change the whole center console to be able to house to arm rest !!!!

I think its the 51 plate onward that comes with it as standard - i was told the same that the centre console would need changing

if your talking about this one fitted in my car, June 2003 IS200 Sport MANUAL

The dealer wants shooting for talking such crap, if your willing to pay 650 I'll supply and fit one for 600, it takes about an hour and that will nearly 400 pound profit for me

I'll have to contact him too ! ... that's exactly the arm rest, hmm ... I guess it's just dealers wanting to make loads of £££ as per usual then, I definately want one of those arm rests !!
