HIYA

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK DOING AROUND 30 MPH AND I SEE MY SPEEDO JUMP UPTO 110MPH REALLY FAST THEN IT JUMPED BACK DOWN TO THE SPEED I WAS DOING. I THOUGHT I WAS JUST A ONE OFF BUT EVERY TIME I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD OR ANYTHING FUNNY HAPPENS IT JUMPS. I.E A MATE JUMPS IN THE CAR WHEN YOUR SITTING STILL AND ALL OF A SUDDEN YOUR DOING 80MPH

HOW DOES YOUR SPEEDO WORK. IS THIS SOME THING THAT WILL BE EXPENSIVE TO SORT.

sounds like a dodgy/lose speedo cable to me..

oh, and lose the capitals mate - its seen as shouting on forums ;)

sorry guys, not use to these kind of things. is the speedo connected to a sensore over the back wheels

I believe its an electrical sensor on the gearbox.

Maybe a loose connection / damaged (electrical) cable?

I take it you are talking about an Altezza which has been converted from Km/h to mph? Probably a problem with the conversion.

It is an altezza, had it for just over a year now and had no problems. do you think this is a big problem and how easy is it to get it fixed.

Get need to get a new speed conversion fitted. Contact AltezzaScott he should be able to advise the best one to use.

These can be obtained from Imprt solutions in Southampton.... give them a shout ans they will post one out to you...
