Car Kit Microphones

Last time I had a car kit fitted, the microphone was ran up the liner of the drivers side A-pillar.

This was before I 'saw the light' and bought a Lexus - it was in my Renault

Now, the Lexus has side air bags / safety curtains.

Any issues in running the microphone up that pillar?

If so - where do people normally fit the microphone?

I've fitted mine on the dash below the pillar, I dont have the clip on type mic I've got the one on velcro, everyone I speak to using the car kit says its crystal clear, even on moterways etc.

Never got the Lexus in the end, Honda offered a better deal. My Accord has side curtains in the A pillar. The bloke who fitted my kit still ran the cable up the A pillar and fitted the mic by the interior lights/sunroof control.

ive got my alarm sensor runnng up the A pilar,, ive (or steve audio) carefully ran it suck that it would interfere with teh deployment

Fix the microphone near the front interior light, then run the cable down the "A" pillar, taping or cable tying it to the existing wiring harness that runs behind the airbag curtain.
