It is illegal to use these kits on the road but it's not an MOT testers job the check that sort of thing. They check the lights are aligned correctly they are not going to check bulbs have E marks on them or self leveling is installed etc.

The only legal conversion kits I have seen are the ones Hella produce for VW and BMWs. Basically they change the whole lights for the OEM HID system so include self leveling etc.

You dont need the whole kit,just the bulbs and ballast boxes,a chimpanzee could fit these :o

Although NOT every VW and BMW come with headlight washers

As long as your lights aren't too bright to oncoming cars don't worry, otherwise the police might pull you over if they're having a slow day

i wouldn't hesitate to pull you over Just to check out the lights of course :P

Are you still able to manually adjust the headlights via switch on the dashboard? (For those who have the Prolex kit?)

Yes Dave, the motor is still in the lamp units so works as normal :)
