Interior Lights

This is just about the only fault I can find with the IS. Why oh why are the interior lights so crap.

1. Cabin light - next to useless - why does the one at the front come on as well when you unlock - would make things a lot easier.

2. Boot Light - This is next to useless - a pathetic little bulb in a little cone shaped thing - compared to my last Bimmer which had 4 (yes, 4) boot lights, one each side and one on each inside of the lid so you could see what you were putting stuff down onto.

3. Lower compartment lights - same as point 1 above - I had these on the Bimmer and miss them - you can see where you are putting your feet!

I suppose I could add some / sort this out.

Anyone else done this, or am I just a wierd light fetishist???

you can easily replace the bulbs or add more.

See what you mean, guess it's an ergonomical thing they're missing, but to be honest the boot light I've got is good enough for me, don't really use the boot except to put my rucksack in (and the occasional crate of lager!)

As for the interior light, I swapped that out for a blue one and in all honesty that is crap, makes the standard light look ten times better than it is!

I guess this sort of feedback is what Lexus would use for the new models? Not sure where they get the feedback from though?

i dont have a problem with the interior lights personally.

wosket you're not missing out much on the boot light, it's useless but i dont use it that much so it doesnt really bother me.

Okay - general feedback is boot light is bad.

Now I need to fit two units to improve matters. Any ideas where I can get them from???

Maybe Bimmer drivers are all afraid of the dark :)

maybe bimmer drivers need to look at what pedals they are pressing because im sure that they press the accelerator when it should be the brake they are pressin!

The seats on the IS may be class leading - but lumber support wouldn't be amiss.

I want to have seat so I'm in the right position ... and the ol' elbows are supposed to be just slightly bent .... guess me being 5'7" don't help much !

im 5'8/9 depending on the day lol!

have no trouble with me seat. do you have electric seats coz you can adjust hight etc? i have no trouble at all wheather i am right back or close up?
