I noticed this when i first bought mk mk1 but it wasn't until i spent a half hour sitting in the car waiting for the other half to finish shopping that i noticed it again.

Its what looks like a little photoelectric cell underneath where my tax disc is sitting, in a little circle on the top left of the dash. Anyone know what it might be? The car has no aftermarket mods in the way of alarm systems or anything. I can only imagine it could be the receiver for the central locking system otherwise..

Just curious!
