I've just returned from Pipercross today, they are designing an induction kit on the is200. They have used my car as a guinnea pig. I should be getting the kit next week. I've also been talking to the manager and have been discussing gold member and possible group buying discounts. I need to know how many are interested so i can give the manager at Pipercross some feedback. When I get the Inuction kit I will post some pics up.

I should be recieving delivery of my induction kit at the end of the week. Pipercross have been very friendly and are making my one in blue.:D:D

If all is well with the kit I can arrange a discount with them.

An induction kit is basically a different type of air filter. Engine power is proportional to air flow and fueling, so the more air (preferably cool air) you can get to the engine intake, the more power should be released. An induction kit replaces the original air box and filter and provides a much straighter, less restrictive airflow path. They also make fantastic 'roar' when you floor it!:D

The reason that we are all getting a bit excited about this induction kit, is that it will be the first one available for the IS200:yes::smilegrin::bounce::bounce:

Hopefully I'll be the only person to have an induction kit for the IS200. Just might have to keep all the information to myself. :D:D:D

Just kidding, phoned Pipercross this morning, they said I would have had the kit today but cos they are making it in blue especially;) I have to wait a little longer. Anyhow, I will keep all posted soon as i get it.

With all the hype about a new induction, something has recently been pointed out to me, I took car to a specialist to try and have a decat pipe made, ( they cant do it ), to make change for mot easy each year. But I asked about induction, if you put a cone type kit on it sits in front to left of grill and is sucking in warm air, we need something that feeds off the scoop at the front wich is in fact forced induction as the scoop is positioned to take in cold air all the time the faster we go the more it takes in. So we need to keep the intake from the front but have it insulated better and leading to a less restrictive filter with less direction change.

any ideas on that?

ive got loads of ideas how to do it ,just not got the time and money...........i have a better design for a N/A induction kit that also uses a new engine cover, but need the development time

i have a perfect induction kit for the supercharger...........again no time, both systems i know will increase horsepower.......

ive worked out flow rates, and engine requirements.........but hey do you think im gonna post this info on here so some ££££££ flush company can steal my ideas, give me time guys, ill do it

just for your info, the engine is less responsive mostly due to heat soak into the airbox........the sytem is way to restrictve and the inlet tract runs through to many turns..........just wait and see,i actually have 2 sytems for N/A and 1 possiblt 2 for the supercharger.

mat:rolleyes:

Still not recieved the induction kit yet.

They told me that the kit will placed where it can use the original cold air feed.

I'll get on the phone to them first thing Monday morning and let you all know what's happening.
