Straps in the boot

Does anybody know what those extra straps in the boot are for.

I've found on on the right hand and two just at the back (behind number plate).

Trev, I use mine for holding the warning triangle and an umbrella (the two at the back) and the one at the side for my firstaid kit ..

Boring .... but it works!!

I think the one on the right is for a first aid kit and the ones at the front are for a warning triangle. I use the front two to secure a baseball bat.

2002 IS300 does not have the ones at the back, but still has the ones on the right. I use mine for an air pump.

Perhaps we should have another poll, see what people use them for !!

Warning triangle and an umbrella at the back and first aid kit on the side for me as well!

Hey that's a good idea - mine's wedged behind the folded up end of the floor-board. It's a halfords' electronic jobby.

I tried tethering my old... vauxhall warning triangle but it just slid out and banged around the boot.

I enjoy the odd game. Its a useful thing to carry around though, had to get it out once about five years ago to protect my Beetle install, I've just transfered it from cars since. Must carry a ball though to avoid problems with the police.
