Trying to change the Default cutom.dic path in Terminal Server in HKCU:

CATEGORY !!UserProfiles_CustomDic

KEYNAME "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\Custom Dictionaries"

policy !!UserProfiles_CustomDic

Part !!UserProfiles_CustomDicPath EDITTEXT REQUIRED EXPANDABLETEXT

Default !!UserProfiles_CustomDicPathDefault

Valuename "Default"

END PART

END policy

[strings]

UserProfiles_CustomDic="custom Dic Path"

UserProfiles_CustomDicPath="Enter Path to Custom Dic"

UserProfiles_CustomDicPathDefault="z:\Office\custom.dic"

Try just a single key of :

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\Custom Dictionaries

Sting value name = 1

value = z:\office\Custom.dic

So it is in as :

1 REG_SZ z:\office\Custom.dic

Nothing else.

If you are using Win95/98/NT4 with TS client, it may need double backslashes in the path. e.g. z:\\office\\Custom.dic

Don't forget to export that part of the reg file before any changes, blah, blah
