I thought the one on your car Madmarc was made in Austra, im sure thats what Andi said?

He did here.............

Nein gefertig werden die Anlagen in Taiwan. Gerechnet und der Prototyp wurde in Österreich gebaut, von einem Auspuffspezialisten.

now i am confused you say the production ones are built in Taiwan, but the prototype is built in Austria......so are yours built in Austria and Scotts built in Taiwan

Mark said that wasnt the actual one...........

at the end of the day, i want as close as possible the facts on this sudden sprouting of manifolds...............there like buses, you wait ages for one then 4 come along at once.

i mean.if im gonna part with my money for a manifold for the race car, i want to know what im buying.

is there anything wrong with that.................

i wanna see facts on them all

No, as far as I can see:

The prototype, construction and design was made in Austria and they gave the production to Taiwan.

I think it's cheaper to produce it there.

Hmm don't know... but he got 10 headers and he sold all.

As far as I can remember he wrote in the GER Forum.

But he will stop production or selling them, because nobody in GER or AUT have been interested.

This is what i am asking Mark, as both posted topics regarding Manifolds, i noticed that the pictures are the same.so are they, and who is sourcing from who.......?

its not a problem, just trying to work out whats what and if they fit

i refer to aftermarket headers,, and talking from a recent experinence where i purchased a Xerd header from the US, problem was that where the pipes go from the 6 (2 pairs of 3) into 2, the US one had the 2 side by side which fouled the steering column,, obviously on a left hand drive this will not be a problem for the european IS.

So what should I say...

OK the picture of the manifold, thats mine! Thats the prototype that is mounted in my car.

I think I know where scott gets the manifolds... from a dealer in Hong Kong. Now everone is confused but i doesn't matter.

I'am sure that it fits also RHD and LHD cars, because the prototype was build off a RHD manifold.

So may Scot has order some manifolds and test the fitting for RHD and RHD compressor cars.

I think the stock manifold is the same for LHD and RHD so it doesn't really matter if a RHD manifold was used to build the prototype.

Clearly that new manifold takes up more room than the stock one, hopefully the prototype was fitted back into the RHD vehicle from where the original came.

i have 2 headers left here... 1 is CERTAINLY destined for a supercharged is200, so when he picks it up, i will be sure it fits...

The other "might" also be heading for a compressed car too...  i will keep you posted!...

To fit a s/c car, manifold will need to retain the fixing points of the heat shields.

The cradle for the s/c is supported at those points.

This was one of the problems with the manifold Nemesis got hold of.

Left the cradle dangling by one corner because of missing heatshield mounts.

Oh and it fouled on the steering amongst other things - yawn

Just had a look at the pictures in this thread....

Only the pro-lex manifold has the required mount points for the s/c cradle.

:whistling::whistling::whistling:

Chap who made these (from austria not the prolex ones) offered them to me at a good price the other day. Couldnt confirm if they'd fit a s/c car at that time.

One other thing....

S/C cradle has a vertical tube which passes between no. 1+2 primaries.

Needs to be room for that ....

That was something else lacking on the manifold Nemesis had.

So... they just left the tube out - Durrrr

I wonder if this Austrian manifold is the same one Nemesis had ?

They must have got it from somewhere ....
