Rx300 Interior Trim

Recommended Posts

hi - i'm new to both lexus ownership and this forum so excuse me if i should be able to find the answer to my question somewhere on the site :tomato:

have just received my '2005' model RX300 and wondered if anyone new of any way of changing the 'not to my taste' wood with something else; kit or fitted?

looking for black wood as the avantgarde merc or carbon film [as long as it looks okay] or aluminium.

any ideas as it is the only blemish to an otherwise great car.

cheers :D

Hi,

I'm due to take delivery of an RX300 SE SatNav nect week and have been looking for the same - have a look on e-bay, tick the box to include the USA and search under Lexus RX330 - returned heaps of alternative wood and metal kits although most are configured for left hand drive models.

Chris.

yeah - it was new and no there isn't a choice = apparently the dealers are suggesting it to toyota/lexus!

are the left hand drive bits that different as most of the bits seem fairly neutral in left or right bias?

thanks for the answers anyway, getting there :)

Hi I am new too and have just purchased an rx300 sel and would like the aluminium trim in the rx400 but lexus uk havent issued any part numbers yet and my dealer is having great difficulty sourcing. All trim look the same except the bit between the radio and gear shift section.

Any sugestions would be a help, I am off to look on american eBay now. :driving:

Did you ever get round to changing your trim on the Rx 300? I'm looking for a replacement walnut tray piece in the rear armrest .Let me know if it's salvagable- cheers, Bugsy.

No luck at the moment but working on the problem, will let you know if any bits spare.

When I got my RX300SE in March'05 the dealer (Lexus Glasgow) said they had someone that could cover the wood bits in leather. Never went as far as getting a cost.

Not sure how they'd do the centre console's lid...but might be worth calling them if it sounds like an option for you.
