Can't Turn Nub (sometimes)

Has anybody had this same problem. My new 2004 LS430 with the keyless option as times just won't let me turn the nub on the dash. After trying, sometimes for ten or 15 times it works. It has been in to the dealership but won't do it there. It does not apear to be related to the steering wheel lock. HELP

Is the steering wheel lock on when you have the problem? Normally the wheel puts pressure on the lock which stops it turning. Try moving the wheel left and right whilst trying to turn on the ignition (the wheel will be quite hard to move)
