Freelander

My brother-in-law is buying a Freelander. But it needs a new clutch.

Anybody got a rough idea of the cost to supply & fit?

Don't know cost of clutch but make sure he checks for cruchcing in the gears ( bit like some of the Lexus ) also reverse. Get him to look at the slave cylinder as someone presses the pedal as they are prone to the brackets beding and not getting full throw on the clutch. Also ensure head gasket is OK as that is a common problem.

I had one for nearly 3 years before the IS.

hi mate he rang steve today :D i think steve said dont get a freelander as lots of problems with them tell him to get a lex :D think he gave him price to :D

Hi Gord, I spoke to Steve and then passed on his comments to the brother-in-law!! I have been trying to tell him to get a Lex for ages!!!
