wont get any interest from a dealer unless you are consiering buying a car from them.

dealers just plough cars of that age into an auction - they only want more up to date models on their forecourt

dude, I reckon a dealer would only give you about 2 grand for yours. Before my lovely LS400 was written off (92J with 170k in top condition), I asked the dealer for fun how much he would give, and he said £1,750. However, he mentioned I'd probably get double that if I sold privately. Why don't you try sticking yours up for £4,500 and see what interest you get?

Sounds like yours is an import, right? Sometimes prices tend to be a bit lower for imports, and it may negate any price gains you expect after all your upgrades.

Just did a price check on Parkers website. For PX they list it at £2805, Private good at £4035, and dealer retail at £4495. This is for a car with 100k miles on it.

I reckon you should put it up for £4500 and see what response you get.

as a 95 will full history sold for £3500 privatly only last weekend & i have just seen several 95 / 96 from dealers for £5000 a week ago. again with full history

i would be surprised if you managed £3000

excellent car but as all car depreciate like lead ballons dont expect too much.

i personally have lost £10k in 2 years on a mercedes which hold the value more than any other car. not bitter but just be warned.
