Chrome Is200 Grill

Guys,

I thought I saw on here somewhere some guy saying that under the grey plastic grill on the IS200 is actually a chrome layer? Can somebody confirm this! I had a look at my grill and it looks fairly plasticky. Did they put chrome on plastiic and then put plastic on that :o

Can someone tell me if the later grills with only 3 strips as apose to the 4 strips seen on the first IS 200 is made of the same material? Just curious as I would like to purchase another grill like mine, the face lift type so I could revela the chrome behind the paint?
