SPARK PLUGS

Hi all Members

Does any one know what spark plugs fit into an is 200 se is it the platinum ones , could any platinum spark plugs fit in to them ? or are there secific platinum ones?

please tell me o go on.........:tumble:

Lexus use iridium spark plugs, 0.7mm, you can buy them from your dealer, should last 120000miles or something crazy like that. You can buy HKS superfire ones with better heat range and 0.4mm gap. They are about £15 each, but they give a better spark/combustion than standard.

Would they make any performance difference to a standard engine Tony ?

I was also looking at performance spark plugs such as the Denso Iriduim ones, but I have been told that they would make little or no difference on a normally aspirated engine. Does anyone know the fitment details for the IS200 engine?

Denso is a Toyota company - I would have thought that they're the same as the ones you get from Lexus anyways?

My car came with NGK iridium plugs. I changed both that and the air filter to TRD ones and the difference was noticeable. The engine did rev smoother. The only difference with the TRD plugs is the heat range again.

Uzziz - you've got loads of good and free advice here mate. Howabout doing the decent thing and joining "gold"?

The righteous thing to do is use iridium plugs at 0.9 to 1.0mm with a spark amplifier. This will give you better performance

which designation plugs were fitted to the latest spec

the very last one........not the one b4 it or the one b4 that the latest generation GT4......the fastest one the best one
