Lexus In Italy

Recommended Posts

The Christmas issue of 'The New Yorker', the well known American magazine, has a coloured double page advertising spread of the 2005 RX with pictures taken in Italy.

Incidentally, I can't see any external differences in the photographs to the 2004 model.

Now I've just spent, since September, four weeks in Italy and the only Lexus I saw was a German registered saloon.

Is the RX in fact sold in Italy?

Another incidental, I did see a Maserati Quadroporto (sp?) - very tasty.

In the south of Italy you wont see many Lexii, but in the north it's selling very well, but only the RX model. The standard discount is 10% on an already low price, so you can have a top version all included for 48.000 euro, which is cheap compared to other European countries.

The otalians have no cultural problem with Japanese or Korean cars. Toyota sells extremely well and so does KIA and Hyundai.

But since over 60% of all cars are diesels, and Lexus doesn't offer one, the BMW and MB are favourites.
