I need some help please. Those of you with the TTE Compressor will have noticed that the main pulley on the compressor itself has a black plastic cover on the front.

This cover is held on with 3 screws, and a bolt in the centre.

I need to remove this cover so it can be replaced with a polished one, but I dont want to remove it if there going to be surprises, i.e oil spillage or internal components that twang everywhere :crybaby:

has anyone removed this cover? What is behind it, and is it safe to remove?

Thanks

hi pete,

if u mean the flimsy black plastic cover then its ok to remove it, nothing behind  there except the retaining bolt for the SC drive pulley - no oil etc (only oil is in the front of the main unit)

Thanks Fluff ! :winky:
