This can be done using a CGI script ...... It's been out for a while ...... when someone directly links to the site, you can have the script display any other image ......

So I direct link to a members car ....... could show an image, on another website as "You should not steal"

Or something on those lines ...........

Depending on the setup your running here, you can selectively allow/disallow certain sites from hotlinking.

I've got hotlinking enabled on my site, but allow a select few sites to hotlink (namely for my benefit :) )

not using CGI scripts nor will it stop members linking their own image as long as the images are used from this club. Our bandwidth is not free or do we let people use our bandwidth willy nilly.

We simply add a rule to the .htaccess files and list the sites that are allowed to hotlink.. such as goldmembers and our other websites within the network.

However, it also depends if we decide to watermark all images on our server.. thus free advertising for the club.
