Hi All.

Due to a recent puncture I now have both new and 3/4 worn tyes on my Rx.

On other cars I have often read that this should be avoided; something to do with transmission wind-up etc. etc.. Does anyone know if this applies to the Rx.

Thanks for any help.

ps... my first Jap car ever (and i've had over 25 so far), but by far the best...

New tyres should always go on the back first, Audi A8's were suseptable to trans/wind-up with worn/new on one axel, a 5% diferentual was permisable, No info on Lexus so should be ok. Put your new tyres on the rear. B)

I thought transmission wind up only occurred on locked diffentials - if so since the RX has no lockable diffs they should be OK.

I would have thought that tyre pressure differences would have more effect than slight wear on the tread
