Navi (cd Rom) And Movies (dvd)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm looking for an IS200. The car is from Augustus 2001.

The car has a navigation system (GPS). It's the cd-rom one.

I saw that some people can read movies (dvd) with their navigation system.

So :

1. Is it possible with this car ?

2. What do I need ?

3. Is it easy to install ?

4. Where can I buy it (I live in Belgium) ?

Thank you for your help ! :)

If you have CD or DVD based system all you can do is use the screen, you will have to install a DVD player + composite to RGB convertor and cut into the vehicle wiring loom.

it has been done but you need the DVD version, otherwise you will need some extra kit.

When you say its been done but need the DVD version, do you actually mean that one can put a normal film DVD into the drive unit in the boot? Or are you refering to the screen hack/mod jobbo?

D.
