Central Locking

Hi. This is the first time I have posted anything on this forum. I have been studying past items and have picked up some great ideas, Thanks for that. I got my hands on my first Lexus last October and think it's superb. GS300SE 1998 MKII, 79K.

Can anyone tell me what 5 flashes of the indicators signify when pressing the lock button on the remote control for a second time. I can't find any reference to this in the manual. Thanks.

Not sure on the GS, but on the IS it turns off the sensors inside the car, so you can leave windows open or people in the car, would assume its the same thing :winky:

Yes it's the same for the GS - Turns off the interior movement detector.

It doesn't.

You can hear the dead locks when you double lock. Early IS200 always double lock on the first press of the lock button. Early series II GSs don't even have double locking.

theres defo another locking type sound when i double press, surely that cant be the sensors being disarmed :duh:

Yeah my brothers is300 2003 model has double locks as does my dad gs430 2001 model, but colin did say early models didn't have it.
