Pollen Filter Replacement

Recommended Posts

This is for one of the LS models, maybe some help :) .....

Fitting Stage 1:-

Open the glovebox. At the rear there is a removable panel . Pull up the panel upwards and remove. Looking through the gap you will see another panel that can be pulled off. Note the up arrow which shows the correct orientation for refitting.

Fitting Stage 2:-

With the 2nd panel removed you can now pull out the filter in its plastic carrier from the housing. You may need to use pliers on the little tab to pull it out. Remove the old filter from the carrier.

Fitting Stage 3:-

Insert the new filter into the carrier, ensuring that the airflow arrow on the filter points down (to match the arrow on the carrier). Insert the carrier back into the opening and refit the panels to the filter housing and glovebox.

Fitting Stage 4:-

After replacement, push and hold the "OFF" button for the front air conditioning for more than 4 seconds to reset the air filter clogging data.

Fitting Stage 5:-

The "A/C FILTER RESET" appears on the multi-information display and a tone sounds to inform you that the data has been reset.

Ensure the airflow arrow on the filter points down (opposite to the arrow on the carrier). Insert the carrier back into the opening with the arrow pointing up and refit the panels to the filter housing and glovebox.

That should be been re-written on the web site you took that from :winky:

Ive got a 1990 import and have a filter in the boot under the rear screen parcel shelf. I was told that this is a pollen filter. The Autodata book we have at work seems to suggest this is a location for pollen filter, sound silly I know but not sure what else it could be!
