not if you are going to add an intake or a supercharger in the near future.

I think he has a s/c already Colin.

Adie - The drop-in's are supposed to be quite good. A few lads have them for the TTE box (K&N, TRD, Toms etc).

Worth waiting for them to comment....

The fitting centre which i used recently for my supercharger added a K&N induction pipe and filter. It was "LOUD"!!! especially during gearchange, almost to a point it was too loud and draws a lot of attention to yourself. Depends what you're after. some like it loud, some dont. A drop in filter doesn't add extra sound but helps the engine breathe better. That's what I'm using now. :D

Have you got any pics mate?

Just wondering what placement etc is compared to the TDI induction which is incredibly loud, but mega :)

What impact did it have on performance (if any)?

The people changed it back to the standard airbox by the time I went to get my car. What happened was that they didn't realise they had left the clutch relocation kit in the box and so could not get the airbox fitted on properly, hence fitting the K&N induction kit. All sorted now tho..

Hmmmm, would be interesting to have seen that, the only one I knew of for supercharged IS's is the TDI one, would have been interesting to have seen how they lined up etc!

Hey aido, I went back to the place where I got my supercharger fitted and they said that they used a K&N cone filter for a VWGolf and stuck it straight on without the piping. What you thinking, is it better with tubing or without?
