i'm just wondering if removing the cats of our cars will trigger the check engine?

my tuner told me that the check engine is there because the o2 sensor senses something wrong with my cat which isnt there..

i had this problem after making a custom headers for my car without cat. very noticable gains in the dyno but the check engine keeps on showing up even if its been reset in the OBD scanner.. you guys had this problem too?

here the pic of my engine bay:

where can i buy that o2 simulator?

search on google for o2 simulator there are lots about. Probably have to get one from the US.

You either need a proper 4 wire simulator or just a 2 wire simulator and keep the other 2 wires connected to the heater on the existing O2 sensor otherwise you will get a CEL as the ECU can detect a failed heater circuit as well as incorrect readings coming from the sensor.
