I'm in work at the moment, and I haveny got a tape meausre handy.

I can use horse measurements though, if that's any good.  :mat:

Fronts are..

225/40/18 on 8.5J Rim on a 35 Offset

2 hands high

Rears are

235/40/18 on 8.5J Rim on a 35 Offset

2 Hands and a wee finger's width. :lol:

:iraqi-info-minister:

cheers gord :ohmy:

so with 1 horse hand being 4" it looks like you are the lowest ever

what exactly is your "wee finger" ??? :crying:

Putting at risk being accused of stating the bleedin obvious we need to set a standard base before measurements are made.

Something along the lines of:

Nothing in boot but spare wheel (no golf clubs etc)

1/2 tank of fuel approx (1/2 a tank of fuel = 30Kg or more than bag of cement)

Car on level ground (front to back and side to side)

Measure both sides and take a mean of the two measurements, front and rear, and post that.

Bit late I know but just spotted this thread and it will be very interesting to get some figures to compare.

As well as the amount of fuel, thers other factors to consider. Tyre pressures being a major factor, as well as wear on springs/shocks, mileage of the car etc. We could go on forever!!

Anyway, Ive just been out and done mine and Im a bit worried now!!!

2002 IS200 Sport, 8 x 18, 225/40/18's, 40 offset, 1/4 tank of fuel, standard height.

O/S/F = 362mm

N/S/F = 360mm

N/S/R = 372mm

O/S/R = 382mm (?!?!)

I must have a problem somewhere then!!

Going to check all tyre pressures now and go for a drive and re-measure!!!

Wish i'd never seen this threar now. :whistling:

Hmmm, I've been thinking recently that the ride height of my standard IS looks ridiculously high and these numbers seem to confirm that.

Fronts are roughly 375mm

Rears are roughly 410mm :blink:

This is with a half a tank of petrol, on standard 17" alloys with Goodyear F1s (215/45).

I might need to get that looked at...

If they are accurate i'm dropped

90mm front

120mm back

:yahoo::lol:

Am suggested i add my results here...

BEFORE

~~~~~
Front (Driver) = 375mm
Front Passenger = 368mm
Rear (Drivers) = 385mm
Rear (Passenger) = 385mm
AFTER (TTE Coilovers)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Front = 325mm

Rear = 335mm

- I'm on stock 17's.

- Half tank fuel.

- No wheel / tyre rubbing issues. Aside from having to drive slower over road humps. Slight scraping of bumper mud flaps under stock bumper.

:D loving the ride.... a recommended MUST to any "real" driver :winky:
