Any Ideas On What This Does?

I am wondering what this device pictured below actually does/is. Its got a single plug goimg into it, and thats it

It also appears to have an ohm rating on the side

Any ideas?

it isnt on the is200, on the 300 i think its for the Running lights on US models, im not sure you have running lights in Oz, but id assume its for the lights all the same, you will notice it gets hot when the lights are on

nup, no daytime lights overe here

thats what i thought too at first

so i unplugged it and then tried turning on the lights and no problems

notice the uk is300`s have it as well ?

and how about some more info and pics on your car

notice the tiens,bonnet struts and earthing kit, usually meens there is more :D

Ballast resistor for the ignition system? Then again, just checked under the bonnet of my GS300 and couldn't find one - looked under the plastic engine cover too.

yeah its only on one side of the car, though not sure if the UK is300's have them or not

what i have done is disconnect the plug and power up the lights, and it does not seem to have any effect on their operation

in any case, i may have to ask my local lexus service dept when they reopen after the easter break
