Misty Headlamp

I have a Lexus IS200 Sport but i have notice that the drivers Front Headland has condensation on the in side. :crying: Can you give me any idea why this has happened and how i can rectify it! :driving:

Get it replaced at dealers if your still under warrenty ;)

unfortunately that ran out in December! only started this month misting

assuming there is no crack or hole in the glass the most likely cause is the seal that bonds the glass to the unit is incomplete and allowing moist air in, also check where the bulb fitment enters the light (these are standard lights, right?) there should be a rubber grommet there is this fitting ok? there is a post on the forum explaining how to dismantle the headlights and remove and refit the glass, i can't remember where though.

I had the same problem, car was three years old and the dealer changed it for free. :D

I looked at a demo A**i A4 at the weekend, the fog lamp was full of condensation. I pointed it out to the salesmen and rather than saying we will sort that he said "they are designed like that, they are not sealed and have slots to let air in". Clever design me thinks :(
