Highest milage IS200

Recommended Posts

So it seems no biggies here, I'm surprised since a lot of them must be company cars, going up and down the country and all.

I drive it hard, but with respect: i.e. warm up, cool down, no free-reving. etc. Was just wondering the long-term effect of hard driving and how strong the motor is.

Probably moving in a few months away from this country and was wondering whether to keep it forever kind, or get a new one much later on.

Vic,

I mentioned that I was being offered cars with 70K - 80K+ when I was looking for a used IS200 recently.

I have now bought a W(2000) model with 50K on the clock and it seems to be fine. In fact it seems to perform a little better than the brand new model I test drove when I was considering my first purchase.

I've only had mine since 8 June:tumble: "Brand Spankers" following the guidance of running it in! Desparate to put my foot down - had to watch a Fiat Punto overtake me this morning - but hey, I'm cool about it (at the moment):smug:

It would seem that I have a "bog" standard IS200 SE with nothing added! It drives like a dream.

I bought my T plate is200 from Lexus Bristol a few weeks ago. It had 60k on the clock. Apart from a few stone chips on the front bumper it is immaculate. The black paint shines like new, and it seems very sweet to drive.

The dealer said Iafter the warrenty expires, Lexus will still sell you a warrenty until 140k. They must be reasonably confident with the car.

That could have been it! I know I did read someone mention 70K somewhere! Glad you managed to pick one up & are happy with it...all we need now is for you to sort out your avatar so we can all see it! Have fun, I do every time I turn the key!

Matt,

When you bought your T plate, wasn't there a 1 year warranty with the car?

Any ideas how much the warranty costs?

  • 3 weeks later...

I bought a IS200 Sport over the weekend on a T plate with 59000 and is running great!! I saw one on sale with 102000 miles.

Lexus in Reading said that they just serviced one with 120k

I think a years Warranty with Lexus is about £500

Not the only one - I had my first IS200 Sport on a 'Y' from new as a company car(until a colleague introduced it to a wall!)

Just bought me own 'W' SE with 35k on it, drives like a dream - much better than my last, perhaps they just love being driven! Get better with age!:tumble::lol:
