Chrome Grill Kit

Hi all, ive just been getting over a bug if anyone has missed me !

Anyway to cheer myself up I ordered a chrome grill convertion kit off eBay , but the lenghts of chrome I have for the slats either side of the Lexus badge are way to short, they are 138mm , my grill is 150mm.

Could anyone help me on this please , if they have had a kit could they measure the chrome strips for the longest slats. I tried to put mine on and it looks awful, though if I put them on the end slats they do look smart. I have emailed the place I bought them, but just wanted some more help if needed. I did check the delivery sheet as well and it is for my GS 300 94 so that bit is right. hope you can help :) i'm having a relapse now

i used nitomorse and elbow grease on my is200 grille it worked a teat, im sure the 300 is the same IE: they are chrome under the powder coated paint anyway.

i think colin barber did his old gs300 before cheaper than chrome stickers anyhow.

the chrome slats are just rubbish ... use some thinner, take your grille off and just take out the paint of the grille. underneath it is chrome plastic...

Rest assured its all sorted, as they are way too short, so im not losing out in anyway.

But the other thing is can it be confirmed that the MK1 GS 300 is chrome under the black plastic before I attempt it, as I would hate to damage the grill as I have spent loads of time making the car look nice.

i took my grille off first and scraped a small unseen section at the back of the grille, i was 99.9% sure it was anyway but it pays to check first.

i used car paint remover nitromorse on mine using cotton buds to apply a liitle at a time then removing with a wet cloth it worked out nicely. i did post a pic before but im useless with pics so i dont know how to show you it again sorry.
