Turbo For Is200, Pls Help

Hi everyone!

I bought a few weeks ago an IS200 (2001) used one

This is my first Lexus and I am planning to tune it a bit.

Searching for a turbo kit (only one, what I coud find is on site http://www.turbo-kits.com/IS200_turbo_kits.html).

Could You help me plesae where to search, waht is importent, is this kit good, some experiences, ...

I don't what to make an extreme tuning, my goal is to get in between 200-250 HP.

Also planning to change the suspension - lower a car a bit (around 3 cm). Do You have some experiences with that (where to find shocks, springs, ...).

lemme race ahead and go on a limb here ... I think most ppl would recommend u go for a supercharger instead for a 50hp increase. Main reason being, theres a customized kit from TTE specifically for the IS200 that can be put on with minimal problems. Most guys here seem to like it .. hehehe

for lowering .. there are TOOOONS of choices man .... the sky's the limit. U can go for lowering springs from TRD (or others) ... or go coilovers from TRD, TEIN, HKS, etc etc .. the list goes on and on .... i've heard HKS Hipermax LS+ are good, and are comfortable .....

I'm sure the folks here will be along in no time to give u tons of recommendations :P

If you aren't an auto (turbo) enthusiast then go with the super charger. ;)

I got that kit and there were hundreds of hours to do, to get the car running fine.

At all you need to improve much things.... and the kit isn't only buy-mount-and drive.... you need to cut plastics, bend iron, drill everything.

And in the beginning after fitting it, there come a couple of problems like too less boost, too much boost, too less fuel, too much fuel..... endless

And you should be good knowledged to know how to solve those problems. ;)

If you are not wanting to lay under the car every 2nd weekend to change, improve or do something on your car, go with the super charger.

The SC is a good thing and robust. :winky:
