Problem...

Just noticed yesterday, whilst driving there seems to be a scraping noise coming from the gear stick and not the gear box. Only happends when changing gears and resting hand on the gear stick and only in 1, 3 and 5 gears! It's seems like it's rubbing on something while resting/pressing down on the gear stick. Never had that problem, always drive like that!

If you're resting your hand on the gearstick while driving it could cause premature wear of the syncro rings in the box

take it to the dealers. i have the same prblem but in 4th & 6th. somthing to do with the bushes inside. got a new gear stick on order under the warranty.

Sanj mate, is this only since fitting the B&M Short Shifter?

I get extra noise with mine over the standard shifter but not sure if it's the scraping noise you describe?

@ nangley, I assume you haven't got the new stick yet? Let me know if that improves or not!?!?

@ aido, the noise was there before the B&M shifter but it has made it more nosier, as described above, after istallation!
