Is300 In Need Of More Power

Recommended Posts

Hi new to the site and would like you get some info on getting my IS300 sportcros moving a bit faster :D

I have not done any upgrades yet and thought I would get in at the deep end and see what happens, induction kit, exhaust and s/c.

Has anyone fitted a s/c to a IS300, is there any problem with the extra power and the tiptronic gearbox

What kind of extra power would I be looking at for the above mod's.

what do you think :P

As far as I know mate, no one here has yet added an s/c to an IS300. Although there was talk of it from a few people. I think some one might have done it in the USA. Im sure one of the IS300 boys will come along soon to put me right.

And welcome to the club mate :D

forget the LMS s/c pile of crap and leads to more problems than good reading on the US forums..

presonally i would go for the Toyomoto s/c kit @ 7k USD, or the Turboeast s/c at 5k USD...

however, without a doubt you will need to upgrade your zaust, suspension and brakes if your serious about unleashing 320bhp (min)

you can alos look at the turbo kits, not my prefrence due to the amount of extra work and running costs inherent with turbos..

I was gona be s/c earlier this year but redundency changed my plans..

let me know when your gona go for a kit as ive been talking to the owners of the above mentioned places about deals (being that no-one in the uk has done this to there IS3) and certainly with me, mr morse, scarface and now you we can get some serious purchasing power....

Cheers for the help I will have a wee look at the links and see what is what.

Liking the sound of 320bhp+ :D :D :D

Does anyone know if the autobox can cope with 320+

I was heading down the s/c route because of the running costs and install problems with a turbo.

More buying power for the IS300 sounds great. Anyone got a good insurer for mod'd cars my insurance will be up in september.

Yeah Mr Morse the crunch is all sorted lookin bran' new again, only had the car 5 and a half hour when the wee wowwypop ran into me with a banged up mini :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

so if a charger will go on an IS300 will it go on a GS ? :whistling:

A supercharger on a IS300 .........

your looking @ 320bhp  :D

Does it apply to alteeza tiptronic one aswell?

these kits wont fit a tezza or the IS200, maybe a GS certainly Prolex (usa) do a kit but there kit again has some problems.

all the american IS kits are geared up for the 2JZ in anycase..
