2001 Rear Tail Lights

I have a 99 rx300 and changed the rear qtr and liftgate lights to the 01 ( euro style ) lens assemblies. the 99 comes w/ amber housing. since the 01 has a clear housing and an amber light, do i have to change the harness also. I have gone to kragens and the only available lens for the socket is #7440 ( only in clear ).

has anyone changed their lenses and experienced this problem ? :blush:
