Anyone Know How To Disable Tyre Pressure Light?

Has anyone figured out how to disable the light itself on the SC430. I plan on changing to larger wheels. I have done a search and located the sensor alarm under the steering wheel column to diable the alarm itself. There must be a way to diable the light. I really don't want to stick a piece of black tape on the dash. Has anyone figure out how to turn the darn light out itself?????

The sensors are part of the tyre valves, so theres no need to disable the light

All you need to do is put the valves in your new wheels, job done

Thanks for the reply but I plan on leaving the sensors in the OEM wheels which will have my snow tires on them. I can't justify spending close to 600-700 CAD for new sensors to put in the new wheels. Thus I have disconnected the sensor alarm under the dash but would also like to disconnect the sensor light in the dash while the new wheels are in place.

dont think it can be done unless you just remove the bulb

I was about to ask the same question.

I bought a set of used 430 rims (without sensors and tyres) and refurbed them.

I then bought 4 new tyres and I asked the tyre shop to remove the old tyres so I could take the sensors out and put them in the refurbed rims.

YUP..............

He managed to break two of the four sensors when he put the tyre remover on the rim.

I now have the constant flashing light and the five beeps every three minutes.

I have removed the dash and there is no bulb, it 'looks like' an integral part of the PCB.

The next plan is to find the ECU for the tyre sensor and disconnect it, and then see if it makes the car do odd things.

So I will let you know what I find, but I also would like to know if the light can be removed without all this ECU removing process.

I will be at JAE with my 430, but I will be with the Soarer's on the TIF stand.

Please come over and say hi, I will venture over and say hi to you.

Steve, I will see you there. :D
