Going to do a south of France run in the RX300 this summer & test out the Sat Nav in Europe. Figured as it was a long way & I have 3 kids, some in-car entertainment might be a good investment.

I was looking at a tablet-style DVD NextBase unit that sits between the two headrests with sound via infra-red headphones. I would like to keep the size of the whole thing down to a minimum so a screen/dvd table combo seems like a good idea.

The whole package with 3 sets of headphones runs to about £450.

I was wondering I anyone had tried NextBase before and/or what the alternatives I should consider are.

playstation 2 is a good idea,plays dvds games,just buy a screen for it,100 quid ish and a power invertor,sorted.

If you don't want to go to great expense. This package seems okay

I have that Ventura System and use it in my IS. Transformed car journeys, kids are quiet as mice with their headphones on. Also if you get a 12v DC transformer you can use it out of teh car as well. The games thing that comes with though is c**p.
