Non-genuine Wiper Blades...

the cars in for a service, and just had a call saying i have non-genuine wiper blades, and they are not clearing the screen properly...

They 'normally' just replace blades, but as i dont have OEM wipers, i need new ones..

How much

£29 for one

£19 for the other...

Thats insane! Just get some others from elsewhere after the service. £50 for a set is madness.

Get some PIAA silicon ones for that price and they are smear free. :)

If you go to Halfords get the Boisch ones with spoiler, £17.99 a set ( remember / look up sizes though ).

Drivers side is 22 and passenger side 19, if memory serves

Always used the Bosch one too - 22 and 19 - last well and clear screen smoothly.

That quoted cost doesn't include a little bit of labour does it ?

I had a similar experience with my last car when they said the wipers were shot.

I said I would call back. I then phoned the parts dept, got the price, phoned the service dept who quoted £20 more. I told them to get them from parts and chuck them on the front seat and I would fit them myself.

Funny thing was that they fitted them anyway and only charged the parts price.
