Hmm .... well if your looking @ those sort of cars ....... then I would imagine that cash is not an object ?

Out of those ......... I'd go for the BMW X5 4.4I Sport :D

I also LOVE ........ the new Range Rover Sport !

I'd have to go with a Ford Lightning or the Harley Davidson truck, but probably miles away from what she's looking for!

You're not thinking of the RX then mate?

She wants something thats a bit chunky etc.. so no to the RX. Ford Lightning or Dodge RAM would be good actually but LHD is not great for London.

Should have added second hand - not buying her a new car that costs more than mine!

I drive a Landcruiser Prado 3L over in Africa - they are not too big and virtually indestructable!

An old Merc 220 (the boxy shaped one) ran into the back of me at a set of lights - completely destroyed the front end of his car but hardly a scratch on the 'cruiser

They've got some cool cars Gord, thinking about it a RHD F150 pulled up alongside us in Stockport and I never twigged!

Big engines like that are what SC's are designed for!

What sort of budget are you looking at Kieron (sorry mate not sure if that's the right spelling...)

Minimum I can get away with - thats why the defender is tempting! Probably some sort of direct relationship between car cost and bedroom fun though :(, so defender not so good on those grounds.

dont get a defender - noisey, tinny, useless on road (fantastic off road though)...

Best bet for lowest cost, and older Disco - or even Range Rover - you can pick up the last generation from about £10k - and you be in her good books...
