Anyone Else Use The Snow Button In Traffic?

Traffic was poop getting out of Nottingham last night and my foot got tired on the clutch - started to have 'jerky' get-aways.

I used the snow button and that made all the difference - less jerky as the power is not there.

Good idea or should I get back in my box?

I do it in the IS if traffic is bad and it defo smoooooths things out :D

I used to use the SNOW mode on my Auto 200 often when in stop start conditions... on teh 300 the spring in the throttle linkage means that teh starts are much less "harsh" than the 200 so no need for the snow mode...

It is also realy useful when you reversing to give you that little extra control over teh speed etc.

I sometimes do it too, but I'm not often in traffic - most of my driving is on rural B-roads.

It definitely does help.

Never thought of that, the number of times I have shot backwards out of a car park space. Good idea mate :D

Is that not what the clutch is for??

The same goes for traffic!

you are still gonna have to use the clutch in either situation unless there is somthin about this snow control that I don't know about!!!

The snow button "softens" the power output to help traction in the snow. Using it has the same effect in traffic, it makes throttle control easier at low speeds.

The reversing comment applies to an IS300 and my Tezza both on auto boxes :D

When crawling in traffic on tick over you shouldn't have to use the clutch to speed up a bit - in normal mode, as soon as you touch the accelerator the car tends to lurch a bit.

Pressing the snow button helps reduce this.
