Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a set of lowered springs for my 94 GS300. I,ve found them listed by Eibach only to be told that they will only fit either 97 onwards or american spec 94 models. Is anyone running a set out there?

I know about the sport model but the dealers want an arm and a leg as well as your shirt sleeves and cufflinks. Its not easy finding a sport in a breakers unless someone knows a specialist breakers... anyone? Its all new to me the Lexus. I've run 300zx and supras and make my living from Stags and TR7s so im a bit green behind the ears on these wonderful works of art

  • 2 weeks later...

Am i lucky or what. I hit upon a guy breaking a sport model about 3 miles from me. He sold me the four strut assemblies for , wait for it, £40. His hand is now being sewn back on and my lexie now dosent look like a four X four with big gaps between the 18s and the arches. If anyone needs any parts, let me know and i'll put you in touch. :D

GS Sport??? What's that?? I'm in the States and the only thing we have is the GS300 SportDesign... And that's the GS that I just bought... On the SportDesign in the States the suspension consists of the L-Tuned Struts and regular factory springs.. There's no extra drop, it's the same as anyother stock GS.. But the suspension is alittle tighter..

It was not tight enough for me so the Struts/Springs are now sitting in my garage.. And I replaced them with a set of Tein "FLEX" Coilovers... Now I handles like a champ.. If you look at my sig on the bottom of my post you'll see the drop that I gave my GS... And it's not a terrible ride considering they're coilovers.. I got alot of pics of my car if any of you want to see it..

Cool car. When I enquired about lowering mine, A lot of the specialists sucked in a lot of air, shook there heads and told me a lot more suspension mods where available for the 2nd generation model. Mines sorted now. There are some pics up of it before the lowering and i'll post more now that it looks a lot better. Its on page 13 of the GS gallery with the dodgy sticker in the rear window. :D

Randy, your is the black gen1 GS, right?? Looks nice... One thing, what do you mean when you say "SPECIALISTS"??? Are you talking about the people on the board or shops in your area?? Well, anyway I can't see any "specialist" saying that it is a worthless or bad mod... IMo it is a necessary mod that you NEED, esp. if your flying down the road.. You really don't want your rearend jumping all over the place at 140mph.. Also by lowering the car you change the center of gravity, so then that means that your lessoning the bodyroll... When I get a new car one of the first things I do is upgrade the suspension... :D :D

Oh and thanks....
