Starting Problem...

Been outside today fitting the new piggy-back ECU for my TTE Supercharger. TTE sent a new one to me after I suspected my original to be faulty (lots of cutout problems while driving and re-start issues). Been on holiday for three weeks so this is the first chance i have had to rip the old one out and get the new one in.

Ok, so here is what I did. Firstly, I disconnected the Battery, then proceeded to remove the old ECU noting which wire's went where. Once the new one was in and all soldered and taped up I put everything back together, re-connected the Battery and got in the car.

I turned the key to the last but one possition, waited for the ABS lights etc to go out and then turned the key to start the engine....but all I got was a fast clacking/clicking sound from the engine....nothing else, no turning over, no starting!!! :crybaby:

I have checked everything over, improved the soldering and checked all the fuse's...nothing is out of place but still the same when I try to start her!! :crybaby:

Please help!!! :crybaby: Thanks in advance - Neil

Ok, hooked my jump cables to my bro's car...turned the key and she started perfectly!! :D Been out for the past hour giving her a good thrashing....no sign of the previous problems...ECU looks to have done the job! I'm well chuffed now! :D

Sorry for the panic guys  ...you know how it is when you've spent an hour cutting and soldering rather important wires...you always think the worst and never check the easy things first!!

Thanks for the input everyone...most appreciated as always!

@ gsportscars - It's a heavy duty Battery I bought last year as an upgrade...better cranking amps, power output, etc...thing is, she hasn't been driven or started for 5 weeks cause of all the running problems and my holiday! Should be fine now though!!
